Air India has gone the extra mile in respecting women by providing special seats reservations for female passengers. The third row in Economy Class is reserved on National Flights for female passengers traveling alone. The exclusively booked seats are inclusive of all charges with no extra cost can be availed by women.
The information of the scheme is mentioned below: :
1. The third row of each aircraft shall be reserved for women who are travelling on their own and have a single passenger booking. A woman passenger booked with a fellow woman passenger in a booking reference is also eligible for these seats.
2. Women travelling with child will not be eligible for these seats. However those women travelling with infant can take these seats but without bassinets.
3. A women passenger can request for such seats at any of Air India’s booking offices in the city or at the airport.
4. These special seats can be taken up to 90 minutes before departure for Domestic flights.
The scheme is not valid on Alliance Air and Air India’s code share flights.
