Fashion Generation YESTERDAY TOMORROW TODAY

In the last century, there was a popular saying ‘Fashion in Paris changes with in the twinkling of an eye, you take the breath, and find new-new  changed fashion in every corner of the world.

A popular suitably applies to the trend of fashion
                                                “old order changeth,
Yielding the place to now “

Actually fashion is a matter of taste which differs endlessly ‘A man of taste is one who has definite personality of his own  Taste or fashion is marked by many  milestones of the road which we travel in our mental life of cultures .Today, in the words William Wordsworth,

“The world is too much with us”.
Modern man, no less than Wordsworth contemporaries, is intimately preoccupied  with maternal aims and conflicts.
William Shakespeare has said, ‘Things are pursued with more sprit than possessed ’
Man’s instinct to show has given birth to fashion since the down of culture,  Newness is his favourite passion but he cannot detach  himself from the past to place the new trend . As has been said by Winword Reade,
“Let us pay to the future the debt which we owe to the past”

Today we are living in the world of science but more in world of fashion .Some like new and some like old fashion. Our country finds a curious conflict between those who stand for the past fashion and for those who Stands for the future. As if there is no relation between the past and the future. As if life were not one continuous flow mingling in its process the past, the present and the future alike. But generally we cannot live untouched by changing fashion because it has entered in every walk of life.

As “change is the law of Nature” fashion is changing style of clothes, hair manners, way of doing same thing way of living, decorating our homes, art, literature etc. Fashion are not permanent they are ever changing so rapidly that by the time we manage to buy something we come to know that it has gone out of fashion. Fashions are never standardised. New trends are set every day by our films and film stars.  The tailors lose no time to copy the filmy designs. Young boys & girls seem be mad after new fashions. They will never feel satisfied because they are running after shadows. Same is true about their hair styles ornaments, manners etiquettes, customs, food and drinks, pastime and amusements etc.

Fashion is the call of time. Everyone has to submit to this call. It someone ignores this call he is labelled as a unmannerly and uncivilised. Running after fashion became a craze with most of the young people, men and women alike. In reality fashion has no fixed standard it is merely composed of outward and showy things which change without any reason.
What is fashion today may go out of fashion tomorrow. It makes no difference to the rich while the poor are but to a great humiliation. They are thought unfit for the society and very soon they became outcaste.

Fashion mangers are mad after fashion. It does matters whether they are comfortable or not. They feel proud in accepting them and think,  fashions make their personality. But the fact is that sobriety & simplicity make the personality.
It is universal truth “History Repeats Itself “. So is true with fashion. Fashion may change every day but the popular old trends of fashion re still very common while elaborating the ceremonies. The bride still wears bright beautifully decorated sarree, lehenga, chunri and bridegroom wears ahkaan , pagri and chuddidaar pujamas. Most of gathering is seen in old warp of dressing , makeup etc. It means we cannot detach ourselves fully from the past.
We can quote here Winword Reade’s words,

“A regard for the past, a respect for that heritage and reverence for antiquity, is the most essential factor in the development of our life. But let us not bea blind to authority and become dumb driven cattle’ in strike of existence”.
Pt. Nehru has said, “To predict future is not in my task “.

In the end I would like to add, “Old is gold but it needs to be remodelled & redesigned”
