International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT) recently organised a Bollywood Night as a part of the Delhi International Film Festival (DIFF).
The evening was held at the NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi. The event witnessed various star performances by well-known artists like Shankar Sahney, Twinkle Vinayak, Shuweta Kapoor, Sagarika Deb and Shamsher Singh Mehandi.
On this occasion Ratnadeep Lal Director- International Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT) said, “It’s really nice to see when student designers of our institute participate in such an event where 100 years of Indian cinema is being celebrated by unique idea’s of fashion.”
Ram Kishore Parcha- Director, Delhi International Film Festival (DIFF), said “I am so happy to see all the guests present here and a special thanks to the team of IIFT who have conceptualized this evening and we are delighted to have them as a part of DIFF 2014.”
The evening had a Grand Bollywood Presentation by IIFT Designers for various Era’s of Cinema from 50’s -60’s till Era of 2000 in the Indian Cinema. In the Era 50-60’s sequences of Dilip Kumar, Meena Kumari, Raj Kapoor, Madhubala were presented, for Era 70’s-80’s the students of IIFT did dance performances of Rajesh Khanna, Dev Anand and Hema Malini.
Under the Era of 90’s – 2000 acts were presented of Govinda, Shah Rukh Khan, Sridevi and Kajol, Era 2000-till date had dance performances of the film PK, Tevar among others.
On the occasion, Vedika Sharma, Publisher of T3FS was also felicitated at the event.
The evening was anchored by Prateek Lal and Neha and an after party was followed by the evening at Lounge Irezumi where many socialites like Shamim Khan, Sanjay Kaushik, Varun Katyal, Sam Williams, Amit Big B, Kaushik Ghosh and many others marked their presence.
