Hyderabad's Tourism professional Harikishan VALMIKI honoured SKAL's Personality of the year award in Asian range here in Bengaluru 48th Skål Asia Congress hosted by Skål International Bengaluru

Hari Kishan VALMIKI the Founder & MD of Hyderabad based Valmiki Travel & Tourism Solutions for his contribution in creating a positive impact on the tourism industry through various initiatives. He was part of bidding committee and also instrunental in bringing 78 SKAL World Congress to Hyderabad in the year 2017 under the leadership of then President.
Immediately after the state bifurcation he collaborated with FTAPCCI as a Chairman for Tourism & MICE Committee to organise 1st Telangana Tourism Conclave with the primary aim to promote interaction between the tourism industry and stakeholders. This initiative of his's earned him an appreciation from Union Tourism Ministry. The then Union Tourism Minister KJ Alphons lauded his efforts. He submitted white draft to help Government of Telangana Tourism Policy.
Founded in 1934, SKAL Internation is the 85 years old body is a professional organization of tourism leaders around the world. It is the world’s largest Travel Organisation of Travel and Tourism Professionals. It is the only international group uniting all sectors of the travel and tourism. It has 20,000 members in 550 cities/clubs throughout 85 nations.
He is well travelled. He travelled to 48 countries. His passion in teaching and trading young travel professionals engaged him as a visiting faculty to Dept of Tourism Pondicherry University: he is also the Boar Of Studies Member with Indira Gandhi National Tribal University Amarkanta Madhya Pradesh. He is also passionate in giving back to society by not only spreading awareness but by practicing as a General Secretary and Project Director for Valmiki Foundation a CSR wing of Valmiki Group.
He is currently engaging with Union Tourism Ministry as well as several State Governments to introduce Tourism Police in all the states across the country with a primary aim of protecting Tourists & Monuments.
Ths elated Hari Kishan VALMIKI says The 'Athithidevo Bhava' social awareness campaign introduced by the Ministry of Tourism with the objective of sensitising the stakeholders and the general public about various social awareness themes must be propagated more deeply and intensely.
Tourism contributes for the economic development as well as allied industries. It generates more employment, revenues and play a significant role in development, Hari Kishan VALMIKI added while responding to the honour bestowed on him.
He says these awards will increase the responsibility as in individual to really do more and better towards the development of Tourism Sector and also be a responsible citizen to do something back to society
