FICCI is organizing the Annual North East Connectivity Summit in Arunachal Pradesh, in partnership with the state Government on 14th and 15th of November 2018 in picturesque town of Tawang.
FICCI has been organizing the North East Connectivity Summit every year since 2014 in partnership with the State Governments of the North Eastern Region. The “Connect North east” Initiative, has played a critical role in taking forward the agenda of inclusive growth for North East India by highlighting connectivity gaps suggesting the way forward and identifying emerging opportunities.
I am glad to inform you that key recommendations of previous editions of the Summit have found reflection in major Government initiatives focused on development of the North Eastern region.
The Summit this year will highlight emerging opportunities in development of riverine systems and inland water transport, Air and overland connectivity within the region and with the neighbouring countries, and people to people connectivity. To give impetus to the immense opportunity that remains to be tapped in tourism, particularly in Arunachal Pradesh, the overriding theme for connect North East 2018 will be “Tourism and People to People Connectivity”
As in previous years, apart from Ministers and officials of the State Governments and other regional stake holders, we expect participation of senior Central Government officials and industry leaders from other parts of India and the Neighbouring Countries.

Also, you may also be interested to note that, the host state of Arunachal Pradesh offers great opportunities in number of sectors like, Tourism, Agro-Food Processing, Pharmaceuticals, infrastructure creation, civil aviation etc and the Government is keen to facilitate investments in these sectors and is actively soliciting proposals to enter into MoUs with interested business houses.
