The Private Firm and Ocean Pearl mutually came to best of the interests of Sagar Ratna to release controlling stakes of company to Mr. Banan as his name is synonymous to the Brand and has always been emotionally attached with it. The "Sultan of Sambhar", Mr. Banan was highly overwhelmed for regaining stakes and expressed his joy during the conference where his happiness was meeting no boundaries.“My most cherished dream of acquiring the Kohinoor of my life, namely Sagar Ratna has come true. I do not have words to express my gratitude to God, who made this almost impossible dream to be realised through the many difficulties. I have found my lost child,” Chairman, Ocean Group emoted at the Press Conference.
Sagar Ratna, a small unit opened up in Defence Colony in the year 1986 has spread accross the country with 36 own stores and 52 franchisees in multiple states of the nation. Mr. Banan now plans to come up with 100 more branches and an equal number of Franchisees targeted to be opened up in next 3 years. The expansion includes renovation, conceptualization, refurbishment of administration and induction and motivation of work force to a new level with which Sagar Ratna can be made the largest chain of Vegetarian Restaurant in India.
Lastly, speaking about marketing strategies of the company, Mr. Roshan Banan, Son of Mr. Jayaram Banan who is Managing Director of flagship company unfolds, “Our vision for the group is to be one of the biggest food and beverage operators in India. We don't want to leave any sector, be it hotels, be it industrial catering, FMCG, flight catering or the restaurants space. Our target is to move into every sector related to F&B. We hope to achieve that under the guidance of Mr (Jayaram) Banan in the next five to seven years. We are also going to move into the FMCG market under the banner of Sagar Ratna, enter the namkeen business as well as the kids snack business, which we are doing on a small scale at the moment".
